While casting a skeptical eye on big franchise growth projections, it’s very cool to see a brand actually hit the milestones it has promised. The latest to pass a major checkpoint is Colorado-based Frenchies Modern Nail Care, which just hit 100 units.

Calling itself the “first to market nail salon franchise,” Frenchies just signed its 100th franchise agreement in the brand’s scant 18 months of selling territories. With this latest addition, Frenchies will soon be open in 19 states with an expected three new studios opening each month through the end of the year.

As we’ve previously covered, Frenchies was founded in 2014 with a goal of bringing a super-clean, modern experience into the nail care category and providing a healthy work environment for its employees.

Fellow Franchise Times reporter Nick Upton and I visited a Frenchies here in our home city a few years back. It was a memorable day of reporting, which we both rated as a delightful experience we’d do all over again. With all my early-season gardening and sun exposure, it’s probably time to head in for a tune up—and request the industrial-grade summer recharge if that’s available.

“The franchise development team at Frenchies does a great job of getting new owners interested in our unique franchise model,” said Co-founder and CEO Guy Coffey. “The main reason why franchise prospects join Frenchies is because of the Frenchies corporate team’s experience and commitment to franchisee success.”

Taking a look at the brand’s actual “menu” of services, includes a classic manicure for $30, along with Signature and Deluxe services that add sugar scrubs and massages for $35 and $50. Pedicures range from $40 to $55 with the same upgrades, including scented body butter and a hot towel.

With the brand’s sharp marketing and celebrity affiliations, a foundation of franchise experience on the management team and a focus on the employees who drive the customer experience, that’s a solid footing for continued expansion—even if the Coffeys need to stop for a relaxing massage here and there.
